The Book of Numbers: Faith in the Wilderness

The book of Numbers is an extremely important book of the Bible because it recounts Israel’s 40-year journey through the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land. In many ways, the wilderness is an apt description of the Christian life, as we too are sojourners, living by faith in this difficult world, as we trust God to bring us to glory. The book of Numbers shows how to trust God – and how not to rebel against him – as he faithfully leads us ‘home’.
